LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday met the 11-year-old boy, who was kidnapped earlier this month, in Greater Noida.
The CM, who was in Greater Noida to review law and order with senior officials, also met the 11-member police team, which timely rescued the kidnapped boy.
Yogi praised the police team for effectively handling the sensitive case and rescuing the youth in a record time.
The 11-year-old son of a businessman Harsh was kidnapped in Beta 2 police station and a ransom of Rs 30 lakh was sought from his family members on October 2. The police conducted a swift operation asking parents to take the ransom at the destination asked by the captors.
Kidnappers asked the father to leave the ransom money at a specific location in the village and their son will be handed over to the family at another location. Two police teams followed the family and as soon as the boy was handed over, police teams encircled and held the captors. They also got back the money.
The family thanked CM Yogi and told journalists that they got a new lease of life.
