North SP Saxena transferred to J&K

Panaji: In police transfers effected in the state on Tuesday, Prabodh Shirwaikar will be posted as deputy SP for traffic for South Goa, while the same charge for North Goa has gone to Siddhant Shirodkar.
In the meantime, the Union home ministry has transferred North Goa superintendent of police (SP) Shobhit Saxena out of Goa to Jammu & Kashmir.
Rajan Nigale will now hold the charge of deputy superintendent (dySP) for ACB/vigilance and Rajendra Shetgaonkar will serve as dySP special branch for North Goa.
Rajesh Kumar is the new dySP for Pernem, while Salim Shaikh will hold charge as SDPO for Vasco.
Junior officers Nutan Verenkar will hold additional charge of the women’s police station and Ashish Shirodkar of the anti-terrorist squad, Panaji.
Additional charge for legal and vigilance and for the election cell has gone to Wilson D’Souza, while Sudesh Narvekar will hold charge of security unit, Altinho.
Pravinkumar Vast will look after tourist police in addition to the other charges he already holds.
In addition to his other charges, Harishchandra Madkaikar is also in charge of the welfare cell, Santosh Dessai will look after the communication unit.
