The NSE Nifty index traded 163.1 points up at 17949.9, while BSE Sensex was up 567.36 points at 60527.21 as of 11:00AM(IST)on October 31.
In the Nifty index, Mahindra & .(up 3.10 per cent), .(up 2.71 per cent), .(up 2.07 per cent), .(up 2.00 per cent) and .(up 1.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, .(down 1.15 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), .(down 0.55 per cent), .(down 0.54 per cent) and .(down 0.14 per cent) were among the top losers.
