BATHINDA: Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moose Wala's father Balkaur Singh Sidhu on Sunday said that his son was murdered in broad daylight five months ago, but justice has not been served yet. If no action is taken within a month, he said he would leave the country.
Balkaur, who was addressing his son's followers at his residence in Moosa village, said he has sought time from the DGP to apprise him about some issues. "I'll wait till November 25, if nothing happens, I'll withdraw my FIR and leave thecountry," he said.
He also accused the police and central agencies of questioning his son’s co-artists but not the associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi while referring to a video clip showing now sacked in-charge of Mansa Crime Investigation Agency sub inspector Pritpal Singh partying with gangsters at a disco in Chandigarh. Pritpal was the investigating officer in Moose Wala murder case. Pritpal has been found to be in touch with associate of gangster Deepak Tinu, who escaped from police custody on October 2, Mohit Bhardwaj. He had accompanied Mohit in an upscale hotel in Chandigarh, shopped with him and gone to a disco while Tinu was in custody.
Sources said Tinu had called the disco owner to provide him with the best facilities. Balkaur said that Bishnoi’s B Team is in Chandigarh but nobody has bothered to investigate them. When two girls, including singer Jenny Johal, raised their voice, they got summons from NIA, he said. “Is this the way to provide justice? If the police or investigative agencies feel that the case may be consigned to records, they are mistaken as people will not sit back till justice is delivered,” he said. The late singer’s father alleged that the gangsters “remained in my area for one month and Pritpal left everyone after getting money from them”.
Now, it is known to all how Pritpal was involved with gangsters, but police never took note of it. Moose Wala’s mother Charan Kaur added, “We have lost faith in the government and the police. Now, we have hope only in the Almighty’s mercy.” It’s been almost five months since Moose Wala was killed. Despite several arrests and an encounter, police are yet to fully solve the case.
