Vote for the Blue Water Area Athlete of the Week

It's Monday, which means it's time for the latest Blue Water Area Athlete of the Week poll. We need to determine a winner.

Voting ends at noon on Thursday.

Last week's winner was Armada boys cross country's Camden Khon, who won the boys race of the BWAC Jamboree at Algonac and set a personal record with a time of 15:47.9 on Oct. 18.

Listed below are this week’s candidates in alphabetical order:

Sergio Galiana — Imlay City boys soccer: Galiana scored both goals in the Spartans' 2-1 victory over Frankenmuth in a Division 3 regional semifinal on Oct. 25.

Paul Muscat — Marine City football: The sophomore rushed for 64 yards and one touchdown in the Mariners' 42-7 win over Yale in a Division 5 district semifinal on Oct. 28. Muscat also returned an interception for a touchdown on defense.

Eva Thompson — Croswell-Lexington girls cross country: Thompson won the girls race at a Division 2 regional with a time of 19:06.7 on Oct. 29. Her performance helped the Pioneers capture a regional championship.

Matthew Zammit Jr. — Cardinal Mooney boys cross country: The senior placed eighth and set a personal record with a time of 17:41.1 at a Division 4 regional on Oct. 28. Zammit helped the Cardinals advance to their first-ever state championship meet.
