NEW DELHI: Shares of , , Varanium Cloud Ltd., and , hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 225.4 points up at 18012.2 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as , Intellect Design, , Coastal Corp(PP)and Luxuries Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 44 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 6 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Cem., HDFC, M&M, and were among top gainers during the day, while , Dr. Reddys, , and ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 786.74 points up at 60746.59.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Plastics, Cement, Services and Construction sectors, while selling was witnessed in Learning & Education, NBFC, Glass, Miscellaneous and IT Enabled Services sectors during the day.
