T20 World Cup: India's lackluster show in Perth; loses to South Africa

PERTH: South Africa had it easy against India in the T20I World Cup at Perth on Sunday.

The Indian bowlers could do nothing much with an unimpressive score of 133 of 9 capped by fielding errors. 

For India, Suryakumar Yadav scored 68 runs in 40-ball.  India lost wickets at regular intervals after opting to bat first.

Half-centuries by Aiden Markram and David Miller made the chase easier for the South Africans. The South Africans scored 137/5 in 19.4 overs.

Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat against South Africa in their T20 World Cup match here on Sunday.

In the only change to the India XI, Deepak Hooda came in place of Axar Patel.

Lungi Ngidi replaced Tabraiz Shamsi in the South African team.
