Four years after a 30 -year-old woman was accused of abetting the sexual abuse of her daughter (11) and son (10) by her paramour, a special Pocso court has acquitted her and the man after finding that they had been falsely implicated as the kids were against their mother’s affair, reports Rebecca Samervel.
The children are from her marriage to a man suffering from a mental ailment. The court also found that on the day the abuse allegedly took place for the first time, the man was in jail as he had failed to repay a loan given by the woman’s husband and a case had been filed.
“The boy has admitted that they were angry with the accused No. 1 due to his affair with their mother. In such circumstances, the evidence on record is not convincing, and not sufficient to convict the accused. the court said. Both the accused have been out on bail.
