GURUGRAM: A Class XII student of an English medium school died after falling from the eighth floor of a highrise society in Sector 45 on Saturday afternoon.
Though cops are unclear whether the 18-year-old boy, a resident of the same sector, accidentally slipped to death or ended his life by jumping off the highrise, his family has claimed in their complaint to police that their son was killed.
The boy, police said, had gone to meet his friend at the condominium to borrow a book. He met his friend in the corridor of the fourth floor and spoke for 2-3 minutes before leaving.
However, around 20 minutes later, guards and some residents heard a thud and found him lying in a pool of blood."We learnt that the boy had initially called his friend through an intercom kept with the guards. His friend's mother told us that he had left after she told him that her son was sleeping," said ACP (east) Kavita.
"Some 15-20 minutes later, the boy visited the society again and met his friend."
The student's family alleged that their son was killed. His father told TOI that he suspects foul play as his son had stepped out saying he was going to get some study material. "His friend lives on the fourth floor, how did he reach the eighth floor?"Officers at Sector 40 police station said they had received a complaint from the boy's family and would soon file an FIR.
