2 babus set to retire, govt gives additional charge to officers

Bhubaneswar: The state government on Saturday gave additional responsibilities to some IAS officers in view of the retirement of two bureaucrats on Monday.
According to the government notification, Raj Kumar Sharma has been appointed as the member, board of revenue, replacing G V V Sarma, who will retire on Monday. Sharma will continue to hold additional charge as director general, training co-ordination, at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration.
Development commissioner Pradeep Jena will get additional charge as agriculture production commissioner (APC) in place of Sanjeev Chopra, who will go on central deputation following his appointment as secretary, department of food & public distribution. Chopra was also the home secretary.
Revenue secretary Satyabrata Sahu has been given additional charge of the Odia language, literature & culture department in view of the superannuation of Madhu Sudan Padhi on Monday. Steel and mines secretary Deoranjan Singh has been given additional duty of home secretary. The chief minister’s special secretary, Roopa Roshan Sahoo, will hold additional charge of secretary, ST & SC development department.
