BHUBANESWAR: The higher education department on Saturday issued guidelines and dates to conduct admission for over 4,000 vacant postgraduate seats in different state public universities and degree colleges.
According to the guidelines, candidates who have appeared for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET)-2022 will only be eligible to participate in this round. The state-wide merit list published earlier for CPET-2022 will not be taken into consideration.
Candidates who have obtained college/university leaving certificate for any reason during phase-I (first, second and spot round) of PG admissions will not be eligible for this round. Candidates are eligible for the subjects in which he/she had appeared for CPET-2022. Earlier entered options will not be considered for PG vacant seat admission.
A correction window will be opened for the students to rectify the previously submitted common application form (CAF). Selection will be done on merit (career mark with CPET-2022 marks). In the absence of reserved category candidates, universities/colleges may de-reserve the seats to admit suitable candidates.
The process will start from November 1 and continue till November 25. Correction window will be open from November 1 to 3. All admission related activities like validation of CAF, selection, admission and collection of admission fees will be completed by the institutions between November 5 and 21. Institutions will display a selection list and hold admission between November 23 and 25.
