MYSURU: Mysuru district minister ST Somashekar on Friday asserted that opposition leader Siddaramaiah and KPCC chief DK Shivakumar will never join hands and work unitedly for the growth of Congress.
He said that after AICC leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, Siddaramaiah is launching a drive in north Karnataka while Shivakumar has become active in south Karnataka. This shows they will never join hands, he stated, adding they work at cross purpose and to undercut the other’s political growth.
He said Congress leaders will tour Karnataka as part of their party’s strategy while
BJP has held Jana Sankalp Yatra and is preparing to hold conventions of various morchas of the party. Meanwhile, Mysuru BJP OBC Morcha chief Jogi Manju told reporters that hundreds of workers from OBC communities will attend the party’s OBC convention at Kalaburagi. He said the party is pro-OBCs.
