CHENNAI: Madras high court will deliver its verdict on Monday, on minister for electricity V Senthil Balaji's plea to quash an FIR registered against him in connection with an alleged job scam during his stint as transport minister in the previous AIADMK government.
Justice V Sivagnanam reserved the orders on Friday saying the final order would be pronounced on Monday.
Earlier, Senthil Balaji's counsel argued that the FIRs registered against him were a part of vendetta politics.
However, Enforcement Directorate's counsel argued that the FIRs were based on complaints by victims and hence they should not be quashed.
Another counsel, representing a victim named Devasagayam, said that around 100 people were cheated and that the case needed to be re-investigated.
