Zydus Wellness(up 2.49%), Prataap Snacks(up 1.41%), Nestle India(up 0.74%), Britannia Industries(up 0.60%), Dabur India(up 0.36%), DFM Foods(up 0.35%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 0.28%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 0.23%), Euro India Fresh Foods(up 0.23%) and ADF Foods(up 0.23%) stood among the top gainers.
Nakoda Group(down 4.36%), Emami(down 2.68%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.83%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.28%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 1.16%), Varun Beverages(down 1.16%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.13%), Umang Dairies(down 1.00%), Hindustan Foods(down 0.94%) and Parag Milk(down 0.88%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 49.85 points up at 17786.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 203.01 points at 59959.85.
Maruti Suzuki(up 4.98%), Reliance Industries(up 3.06%), Enterprises(up 3.05%), NTPC(up 1.99%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.5%), Coal India(up 1.45%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.44%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.38%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.35%) and Bajaj Auto(up 1.34%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Steel(down 2.5%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.5%), Grasim Industries(down 2.33%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.14%), Divis Laboratories(down 2.03%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.81%), ICICI Bank(down 1.79%), State Bank of India(down 1.54%), JSW Steel(down 1.35%) and Axis Bank(down 1.32%) closed in the red.
