Hindustan Foods(up 3.58%), Future Consumer(up 2.94%), Dabur India(up 2.13%), Varun Beverages(up 2.06%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 1.56%), Emami(up 1.30%), DFM Foods(up 1.30%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 1.13%), Zydus Wellness(up 1.09%) and Parag Milk(up 0.98%) were among the top gainers.
Vadilal Industries(down 2.18%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.60%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.57%), Dodla Dairy(down 1.16%), Bajaj Consumer(down 0.90%), Nestle India(down 0.80%), ADF Foods(down 0.69%), Gillette India(down 0.25%), Prataap Snacks(down 0.16%) and Heritage Foods(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 66.85 points up at 17723.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 199.17 points at 59743.13 at around 11:20AM.
JSW Steel(up 4.45%), Hindalco Industries(up 3.48%), Tata Steel(up 3.26%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.96%), UPL Ltd(up 1.8%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.62%), Tata Motors(up 1.47%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.42%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.3%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.11%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 1.48%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.15%), Asian Paints(down 0.98%), Nestle India(down 0.84%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.76%), Eicher Motors(down 0.65%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.48%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.4%), SBI Life(down 0.24%) and ITC(down 0.23%) were trading in the red.
