Ex-Congress councillor joins BJP

Ludhiana: Former councillor from the Congress party, Varinder Sehgal on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with his supporters, in the presence of BJP district unit president Pushpinder Singhal. The BJP leaders claimed that these leaders were unhappy in their previous party, and joined BJP since they were impressed with the policies of Prime Minister Modi. The district president also welcomed the newcomers.
After joining the BJP, Sehgal said he joined the saffron party because the BJP is working “while keeping national interests above anything else”.
