Man arrested for stabbing dad to death

Berhampur: A 32-year-old man was arrested for stabbing his elderly father at Padhal village under Aska police station limits in Ganjam district on Monday. A dispute had broken out between the two after the father objected to him brining a woman to his house. The accused is married and has two children.
The accused and the deceased were as Arun Nahak and Debaraj Nahak, respectively. Debaraj had tried to flee from his son, who was coming towards the former with a knife. He ran out of the house but Arun chased after him with the knife and stabbed him multiple times. The locals immediately took Debaraj to the sub-divisional hospital in Aska where the doctors declared him brought dead, police said. “Arun had hid himself in a temple near the village from where he was nabbed,” P K Sahoo, inspector in-charge of Aska police station, said. The knife has also been seized. A murder case has been resgistered against Arun. tnn
