Mangaluru: Stung by wasps, woman dies

MANGALURU: A 64-year-old woman, who was working as a maid at a house in Kammaje of Bantwal taluk, died 14 days after she was stung by a swarm of wasps.
The deceased is Meenakshi, a daily wage worker from Kammaje, who was working in the house of Mahabala Alva in the same village. A swarm of wasps had stung her while she was returning to her house on October 7.
She was rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte the same day. However, she failed to respond to treatment and died on Friday. Bantal rural police have registered an unnatural death report.
