Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.62%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.14 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.62 per cent) and DLF(up 0.57 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Phoenix Mills(down 2.69 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 2.61 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 2.33 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.95 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.22 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.62 per cent down at 425.35.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 74.4 points at 17656.35, while the BSE Sensex stood down 287.7 points at 59543.96.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.

Shares of PNB, BHEL, Zomato Ltd., and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Varanium Cloud Ltd., , , Tips . and Maks Energy Solutions India Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , Vikas Proppant & Gr, Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
