Hubballi: Elderly woman found killed

HUBBALLI: A 70-year-old woman was found murdered at her house in Nekar Nagar on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Kamalavva Kashinath.
Quoting the complaint filed by her relatives, police said Kamalamma’s nephew (sister’s son), who had come to his aunt’s place for Deepavali festival, stayed there for three days. “He allegedly murdered his aunt for money. We are searching for him as he is on the run after cutting Kamalavva’s ear to take away her earring,” said police.
After getting no response to their door knocks, neighbours broke open the door and found Kamalamma murdered. A case has been registered at Kasabapeth police station here. A police inspector said an investigation is on.
