Sikko Industries(up 4.99%), ZUARIAGRO(up 3.54%), & Fertilizers(up 2.77%), National Fertilizer(up 0.31%), & Petrochemicals(up 0.24%) and Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.09%) stood among the top gainers.
Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 5.00%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 4.97%), Coromandel International(down 2.21%), Aries Agro(down 1.55%), G S F C(down 1.31%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.28%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.26%), & Fertilizers(down 1.20%), Fertilizers (down 0.99%) and Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.76%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 74.4 points down at 17656.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 287.7 points at 59543.96.
Tech Mahindra(up 3.28%), Maruti Suzuki(up 2.73%), JSW Steel(up 2.34%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.06%), Eicher Motors(up 1.91%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.48%), NTPC(up 1.44%), State Bank of India(up 1.41%), Grasim Industries(up 0.92%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.82%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Nestle India(down 2.84%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.63%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.6%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.54%), Britannia Industries(down 2.33%), UPL Ltd(down 1.93%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.54%), Reliance Industries(down 1.54%), HDFC(down 1.52%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.5%) closed in the red.
