Assam man dies while watching India-Pakistan World Cup T20 match

DIBRUGARH: Thirty-four -year-old cricket fan of Sivasagar town Bitu Gogoi died of suspected cardiac arrest while watching the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match on the big screen.
The incident took place on Sunday evening when Gogoi, along with some of his friends, was watching the nail-biting cricket match at the Bhaskarjyoti Cinema Hall in Sivasagar town. The theatre had made special arrangements for the live screening of the India-Pakistan match on the demand of cricket fans. Gogoi collapsed during the final over of the match that India managed to win defying all odds.
"We were watching the match together when he let out a loud roar after Kohli hit a six in the last over. He collapsed immediately after that and became unconscious. We took him to the Sivasagar civil hospital within 10 minutes where he was declared dead on arrival," said Nabajit Borpatra Gohain, his friend.
