Man arrested in staged loot case in Lucknow outskirts

LUCKNOW: In a twist of events, the Rs 3 lakh Nigohan loot incident in Lucknow outskirts turned out to be a staged loot case on Tuesday.
Police arrested the complainant Ramnarayan in connection with the incident and also recovered the cash.
Giving details, Superintendent of Police, Lucknow Rural Hirdesh Kumar said that initially Ramnarayan, the victim who is also a firecracker shop owner had informed the police that while returning home on Monday night, four bike borne assailants had intercepted his car.
Thereafter at gunpoint, they robbed him off Rs 3 lakh. He had claimed the incident to have taken place at Nahar Kheda area.
"A team visited the spot and checked CCTV found near the spot where no vehicle could be seen either going or coming. The victim was also asked whether he had any enmity or not and also if he had taken loan to which he first denied and then investigation nailed his lie, and spilled the beans" said SP Kumar.
Kumar further added that Ramnarayan had taken a loan and had not wanted to repay it hence he staged the loot.
Cops also recovered cash from the complainant's vehicle
