After being 31/4 in the Powerplay one would say it was quite a close game. But apart from Ackerman and a few lusty blows from Meekeren, there were hardly any contributions. Bangladesh just kept picking wickets throughout the innings as the Netherlands did in the first innings. Taskin had a brilliant day with the ball picking four for in his quota. This a good positive start for Bangladesh despite posting a mediocre score on a decent wicket the bowlers fought back. The Netherlands on the other hand should have tried and built partnerships in the middle alongside Ackerman and taken the game deep. But that's that folks. South Africa will play Zimbabwe shortly at the same venue.
Excellent innings from Ackerman. He made 62(48). He fought the lone while the rest others were coming and going.
A brilliant outing for Taskin Ahmed. He picks another wicket. he is my Man Of The Match definitely.
It is looking highly unlikely for the Netherlands from here on. It is up to Bangladesh to pick the remaining wickets and boost up their NRR.
