IANSHINDIJohn Shaw, the husband of Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw - founder of biopharmaceutical giant Biocon - has passed away.
70-year-old John Shaw was being treated in a Bengaluru private hospital, where he passed away on Monday.
Reports say that he will be cremated at the city's Wilson Garden Crematorium on Monday evening.
Born in 1949, Shaw served as the Vice Chairman and non-executive director of Biocon and has been on the board since 1999. He was the foreign promoter and on the advisory board of various Biocon group of companies.
He had served as the former chairman of Madura Coats Ltd, former finance and managing director of Coats Viyella Group.
