Arunachal Pradesh chopper crash: Mortal remains of 5 Army personnel sent to their native places

GUWAHATi: The bodies of all five Army personnel, who died in Friday’s chopper crash in Arunachal Pradesh, were sent to their native places on Sunday.
The mortal remains of the three Army personnel from Rajasthan were sent to their place of domicile from the Mohanbari Airport in upper Assam’s Dibrugarh district.
A defence spokesperson said the remains of Major Vikas Bhambhu, Major Mustafa Bohara and Naik Rohitashva Kumar were sent in the same service aircraft of the Indian Air Force up to Prayagraj.
While the body of Major Vikas Bhambhu was taken up to Suratgarh in the same aircraft, the defence spokesperson said arrangements were made in Prayagraj for another aircraft to carry the bodies of the other two Army personnel to two different locations in Rajasthan.
“The body of Major Mustafa was taken to Udaipur and that of Naik Rohitashva was sent to Jhunjhunu district,” the defence PRO said, adding that the wreath laying ceremony was held at Mohanbari airport before the mortal remains of the three bravehearts were dispatched to their homes. The body of havildar Biresh Sinha was sent to his native village at Ratabari in Karimganj district in South Assam by road, while the mortal remains of Cfn Aswin KV was dispatched to his home state Kerala by air on Sunday, the PRO added.
