Nashik city witnessed a sudden drop in minimum temperature by 6.4 degrees on Sunday
NASHIK: The minimum temperatures plummeted in many cities in Maharashtra on Sunday. While Mahabaleshwar was the coldest in the state at 13.4 degrees Celsius, Aurangabad was close behind with 13.9 degrees Celsius. Nashik city rounded up the list of three coldest cities in the state with 15 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Nashik city witnessed a sudden drop in minimum temperature by 6.4 degrees to settle at 15 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 15.1 degrees Celsius on October 16, but the maximum temperature increased to over 21 degrees Celsius thereafter.
Nashik city also witnessed rain for three consecutive days — from October 17 to 21 and cloudy weather conditions after that. As a result, the maximum temperature of the city increased to 22 degrees Celsius. But there has been a change in Nashik city’s climate and the minimum temperature has dropped by 6.4 units in a day.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky condition will be clear for the next three days and the minimum temperature will be between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius in Nashik over the next three days.
According to the weather station of Rahuri Krishi Vidyapeeth in Niphad, the grape growing belt of Niphad reported 13.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday, against 21.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
Jalgaon, another city in north Maharashtra, recorded a minimum temperature of 15.3 degrees celsius on Sunday.
