Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman and managing director of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has informed the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) that directives were issued to all the heads of all its depots to remove flags from the premises.
The commission had sought a report from the KSRTC over a petition filed by social worker Johny Aliyapuram requesting action to remove flags that are causing inconvenience to the public in KSRTC depots.
The HC had also ordered the removal of flags placed in public places by political organizations and other associations. Flags have been removed from Nedumangad depot as per the directive of the court, the KSRTC has informed the panel.TNN
