Lucknow: Teacher mowed down by speeding truck

LUCKNOW: A 25-year-old teacher was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Banthra area on Saturday morning, police said.
The deceased, Pradeep Kumar of Unnao was heading towards his coaching institute in Banthra area on his two-wheeler when he was hit by the truck. Kumar was a computer teacher in a private institute.
His brother Sandeep told police that Kumar had left the house around 7am and when he reached Banthra market at around 7:30 am he was hit by the truck with the registration number of Lucknow. Sandeep added that the locals noted down the number of the truck before it fled away from the spot.
Station house officer, Banthra police station, Ashish Kumar Mishra said an FIR under the charges of rash driving and death by negligence has been lodged against the truck driver who has been arrested.
