Vadodara: Woman drugged, raped by relative in Manjalpur

VADODARA: A woman living under the precincts of the Manjalpur police station has accused a relative of her husband of raping her as she fell unconscious on consuming a drug that he offered.
The accused allegedly also stole cash and a mobile phone from the residence of the rape survivor.
An offence registered at the Manjalpur police station on Friday night alleges that the woman was not feeling well recently. The accused got medicine for her, but she fell unconscious after consuming it.
The accused then allegedly raped her and recorded the crime on the woman's mobile phone. He then stole Rs 25,000 and the mobile phone from the house and escaped.
Sources said that the man used to used to stay with the woman and her husband as he was a relative. She narrated the incident to her husband following which she registered an offence at the Manjalpur police station. The police are trying to locate the accused to arrest him.
