Two girls arrested for stealing gadgets

Bhubaneswar: Police on Saturday arrested two women, including a second-year MBA student for allegedly stealing laptops and other electronic gadgets of students from hostel rooms.
According to police, the girl was identified as Puja Saha from Saheed Nagar area and her aide Ahmad Hussein from West Bengal. They used to sell stolen laptops in places near West Bengal-Bangladesh border. Ahmad was the conduit through whom Puja, a stduent of a private college was sending the stolen laptops, police said.
DCP Prateek Singh said some students had lodged a complaint in Infocity police station regarding their laptops being stolen. “The police interrogated a few students and kept Puja on surveillance. Many students said she indulged in stealing activities. Police interrogated her and she confessed to her crime,” Singh said.
