Prayagraj: A 35-year-old youth, Arun Bhuiyan, travelling on train number 12322 (Mumbai to Howrah) died after being allegedly pushed from the running train by Government Reserve Police (GRP) personnel on Thursday night. An FIR against the two GRP personnel, posted at Cheoki outpost of Prayagraj, was registered on Friday on the complaint of the victim’s friend Arjun Bhuiyan. According to reports, Arjun and his friends including Arun were travelling in the general coach of the train. After the train crossed Cheoki railway station, the GRP staff started checking tickets near Unchddih railway station. It is alleged that the GRP personnel pushed Arun from the moving train due to which he died. On the instructions of the officers, a case has been registered against head constable Krishna Kumar Singh and constable Alok Kumar Pandey under relevant section of the IPC, including section 304 of the IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder).
