Ranchi: A state-level sports competition titled “Kick for Jharkhand” will be hosted by Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) to pique the interest of students of government schools. The competition will begin on November 5 and will continue till December 15.
The JEPC has said students from primary, middle and secondary sections can participate in the competition. A total of 19,446 students are in primary classes, 13,660 in middle school, 1,826 in secondary classes and 510 students are in high school. They are expected to participate in competitions designed to teach students discipline, improve their learning power and teamwork, and make them proficient in other co-curricular activities.
JEPC director Kiran Pasi said, “The students of our state are very talented and all they need is an opportunity to demonstrate themselves. Therefore, we are organising the competition. The education department is also making efforts to provide opportunities for students to pursue their passion.”
