Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspects Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra site in Ayodhya. He will perform the Rajyabhishek of the symbolic Bhagwan Shree Ram later.

Ram’s Ayodhya decks up for Deepotsav
Anticipating the VVIP security arrangements at the ghats in Ayodhya in view of PM Narendra Modi's visit to the temple town on Sunday, thousands of families visited the Deepotsav venue on Saturday. Russian Ram & Sita for Ayodhya Ramlila
The Deepotsav is turning out to be a global platform for artists, with the Yogi government providing the stage to international performers from eight countries. Among them will be a troupe of 12 Russian artists who will be performing the Ramlila.The Padma Shri Gennady Mikhailovich Pechnikov Memorial Ramlila will be held in association of Disha: India-Russia Friendship Society of Moscow at the Deepotsav. Director and producer Rameshwar Singh said that the Ramlila has been performed in Russia on a large scale from the 1960s and has become extremely popular among the residents of Moscow. Director of the Ayodhya Research Institute, Lavkush Dwivedi had extended an invitation to the group in July as for the past two years the international participation had reduced due to the pandemic.
‘Surge in tourist footfall in Ayodhya due to Deepotsav’
The growing popularity of Deepotsav is evident from increasing number of tourists visiting Ayodhya ever since the event was started in the temple town in 2017, tourism department officials said. A senior official said that till August this year, at least 2. 2 crore tourists have visited the temple town and the number would further increase with Deepotsav celebrations reaching its peak on Sunday. The total count would be provided by the end of the month, he added.
Around 6.30 pm, the prime minister will witness an "aarti" on the banks of the River Saryu, which will be followed by launch of the Deepotsav celebrations, a statement by the PMO said.
Deepotsav: 22,000 volunteers lay out 17 lakh diyas on Ayodhya ghats
More than 22,000 volunteers, including students, laid out 17 lakh diyas for the Deepotsav, which will be witnessed for the first time by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present on the occasion.
Ayodhya geers up for grand welcome
The streets were all geared up for the grand welcome of the duo, and the roads of Ayodhya can be seen with cut-out hoarding pictures of both, PM Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
"At around 5:45 pm, he will perform the Rajyabhishek of symbolic Bhagwan Shri Ram. Around 6:30 PM, Prime Minister will witness Aarti at New Ghat, Saryu river, which will be followed by the commencement of the grand Deepotsav celebrations by the Prime Minister," read an official statement by PMO.
Darshan pooja at 5pm
PM Modi will perform the darshan and pooja of Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman at around 5pm. After the prayer session, PM Modi will inspect the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra site.
