Vadodara: With Covid-19 cases in the state remaining on the lower side, the state government has decided to allow into government office people not carrying Covid-19 vaccination certificates or self-declarations stating that they were vaccinated. Earlier, it had made the certificates or self-declaration mandatory for visitors to the government or related offices.
The circular asking officials to ensure that those visiting government offices were vaccinated was brought out on December 31 last year. The circular had insisted that certificates must be checked at state government or semi-government offices as well as government boards and other undertakings.
The circular also stated that the passes for visiting the state secretariat or Swarnim Sankul should be issued only after checking the certificates. The circular brought out earlier this month, however, overrides the previous circular.
