PATNA: State vigilance sleuths on Friday raided multiple locations of Purnia Nagar Nigam junior engineer Shiv Shankar Singh and unearthed properties worth over Rs1.50 crore and ornaments valued over Rs50 lakh, apart from investments in various policies and huge amount in the bank accounts. Patna, Purnia and Saharsa and the value of his properties would increase.
An FIR was lodged against Singh for amassing properties worth around Rs1.21 crore disproportionate to hs known sources of income. The vigilance sleuths seized around 1kg gold and 1/2kg silver. Ornaments worth around Rs11.65 lakh and a large number of land deeds were seized from his Rai Ji Ki Gali flat near Boring Canal Road in Patna.
In Purnia, 8 land deeds were found, along with investments in 12 different policies and 12 bank passbooks. A godown built in 3000 sq ft was also found. Singh invested around Rs35 lakh in post office and had around Rs40 lakh in different bank accounts in his and family members' names. In Saharsa, he owns a three- storey building.
