JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday visited an Indira Rasoi near Jal Mahal for an inspection where he had lunch and spoke to people to check the quality of food. While speaking to the media, the chief minister said that the quality of food is good and healthy.
He also asked people having lunch there how the behaviour of the persons working at the kitchen was and was found to be satisfactory.
Earlier this month, the chief minister had asked all MLAs to visit and have food at Indira kitchens at least once a month and inspect the facilities being provided. “At Indira Rasoi, good and healthy food is being served just for Rs 8, and the government is giving subsidy of Rs 17. I have also asked all MLAs, MPs, other public figures to eat at Indira kitchens at least once a month which will help us ensure that the quality of food is maintained, and this will also help the common man feel that this is a safe and economical option for them. I also enquired and found out that organically produced vegetables are being used at the kitchen in Jal Mahal, which adds to the nutrition value of the food,” said chief minister Gehlot.
The chief minister further said that it is the state government’s endeavour to ensure that everyone has access to healthy food and that the government will do everything to help the poor.
