BJP formed govts in Goa, Karnataka, MP, Maharashtra and northeastern states after buying MLAs: Sitaram Yechury

CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that the BJP formed governments in Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and northeastern states after purchasing the MLAs after they failed to get the people’s mandate in the assembly election in these states.

Yechury while addressing a rally in Tripura on Friday said, “They (BJP) now have only one tool to govern the country. This is communal strategies, inciting hate against each other".

He said, “Election Commission has declared the assembly election schedule in Himachal Pradesh. But the EC has not yet declared the same for Gujarat. Modi frequently visits Gujarat and inaugurates the old projects to deceive the people and to get electoral mileage. He will come to Tripura next week and do the same thing here.”

Tripura is going to assembly polls early next year.
