Over 253kg ganja seized from Ganjam

Berhampur: Excise sleuths on Wednesday seized 253-kg ganja along with a car worth around Rs 32-lakh from two different locations in Ganjam district and arrested six people involved in this racket.Police raided a residence in Dharmapur after receiving a tip, and seized more than 153 kg of ganja from there. The accused have been identified as M.Santosh Dora (27), the house owner, Santosh Sahu (34), Nila Badatya (29), J.Shankar Dora (30).In another incident, vigilance sleuths, seized around 100-kg ganja, being transported illegally in a car, at Kalasandhapur. The combined worth of the ganja and the car was roughly Rs 17 lakh. TNN
