Sr rail officer booked for ‘abusing’ scribe

Bhubaneswar: A senior railway official has been booked by the commissionerate police for allegedly losing his cool and hurling abuses on a journalist for linking him with Archana Nag, who is at the centre of controversy for honey-trapping many influential people.
Police said Anup Kumar Satpathy, the divisional railway manager (DRM) of Waltair division of the East Coast Railway (ECoR), telephoned journalist Abhinna Asutosh Satapathy on Monday and vented his anger for the alleged derogatory news against him.
A photo of the DRM with Archana has been doing the rounds on social media. “I filed the story, questioning the suspected link between the railway officer and Archana. I tried to contact and take the DRM’s version. But he could not be reached. He called me and scolded me by using vulgar and offensive language,” Abhinna stated in his complaint lodged with Kharavel Nagar police.
