Mumbai Police issues prohibitory orders for 15 days from Nov 1

Under the prohibitory orders, not more than 5 persons can gather at a place. According to news agency ANI, the police has banned processions as well. Bursting of firecrackers, use of loudspeakers & music bands in a procession has also been banned. However, wedding ceremonies and funerals have been exempted from the prohibitory orders.

Mumbai Police on Friday issued prohibitory orders under section 37 of the Maharashtra Police Act for 15 days from November 1 to November 15, 2022.

Under the prohibitory orders, not more than 5 persons can gather at a place. According to news agency ANI, the police has banned processions as well.


Bursting of firecrackers, use of loudspeakers & music bands in a procession has also been banned. However, wedding ceremonies and funerals have been exempted from the prohibitory orders.
