₹120cr okayed for 425 RO units in Barmer

Jaipur: To improve the quality of drinking water, 425 RO water plants will be installed across Barmer district for which public health and engineering department approved Rs 120 crore on Thursday. The RO plants will be installed in seven blocks of two assembly constituencies Chauhtan and Gudamalani. The installation of RO plants was announced by the chief minister in this year's financial budget.
“These plants will be installed in 1042 habitations of seven blocks of Chauhatan and Gudamalani assembly constituencies of Barmer district. A total of Rs 120.61 crore has been approved by the PHED. It was approved in the meeting of finance committee of Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Management Board (RWSSMB),” said officials
The department has also approved Rs 9.9 crores for urban water supply scheme for Kotputli in Jaipur district. Under this scheme, 13 tube wells, two high reservoirs, two clean reservoirs, two pump houses will also be set up. TNN
