HYDERABAD: Charging the
BJP government at the Centre with misusing all the constitutional bodies, including the Election Commission of India (ECI), TRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged that Prime Minister
Narendra Modi was implementing 'Modi constitution' and not BR Ambedkar's Constitution in the country.
He said the central investigations such as income tax (IT), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI should have a prefix B (BJP) as they were dancing to the tunes of the BJP government. They have become affiliated wings of the saffron party, he alleged.
"I dare the BJP leaders to seek votes in Munugode assembly by-elections on what they had done for Telangana and Munugode constituency. They know the BJP cannot win the election in a democratic manner," KTR said at a meeting admitting Alair ex-MLA Bikshamaiah Goud in the party on Thursday. Bikshamaiah resigned from BJP on Thursday morning.
On deploying all the TRS ministers, MLAs and other leaders in Munugode election campaign, KTR said every leader was a party worker first and he would work for the victory of the party. "The BJP can also seek a positive vote by telling what they did to the people and what they want to do if they win election like we are doing," the minister said.
He said the TRS was seeking votes telling what the state government had done for the constituency in the past eight years. "We have resolved the fluorosis problem in the assembly segment and taken up developmental works such as industrial hub at Dandumalkapur." KTR reminded fluoride cases had been brought to zero in just four years, which was acnowledged by the Centre in Parliament. BJP national president JP Nadda, who was health minister in 2016, promised a 300-bed hospital in Marriguda and fluorosis research centre in Chotuppal. But even after six years, it has not been set up, KTR said.
