Shares of IT firm Mphasis plunged 5.12% to Rs 2,037.15 in Friday’s intraday trade after the company reported lower-than-expected results for the September quarter of 2022.

The company's net profit rose 4.1% QoQ and 22.6% YoY to Rs 4,18.5 crore in Q2 FY23. The gross revenue grew 4.0% QoQ and 23.9% YoY on a reported basis.

Direct revenue of grew 4.2% QoQ and 26.6% YoY on a reported basis. In Constant Currency, revenue grew 2.0% QoQ and 19.2% YoY while its EPS rose 4.0% QoQ and 22.0% YoY to Rs 22.2 in Q2 FY23.

The company won a new TCV of $302 million in Q2 FY23 in Direct, of which 81% is in new generation services. It also won two large deals in Q2 FY23 totalling $110 million.

At 1.56 pm, the scrip was trading 4.74% lower at Rs 2,045.45 over its last day’s closing price or Rs 2,147.15 a piece. With this, the stock has fallen nearly 30% in last six months and over 40% so far in 2022.
