NOIDA: For the second consecutive day, a Noida Authority team caught stray dogs inside Lotus Boulevard in Sector 100 on Wednesday.
Dog catchers were sent to the society after a seven-month-old boy, who was allegedly attacked by stray dogs in the society, died in hospital on Monday.
The boy was with his parents - his father had been hired to repair a road - when he was mauled. Residents protested following the attack.
The team picked
up ten dogs on Tuesday. On Wednesday, it caught two more.
Rafat, an animal activist and dog catcher working with the Noida Authority, said, "Our team has still not caught three stray dogs, which roam inside the society and are apparently aggressive. We have caught 12 dogs till now, but all of them seem to be non-aggressive. We will continue our search till we get the three aggressive dogs."
All 12 dogs are currently at the animal shelter in Sector 94, where they will stay for 10 days.
