Belagavi: Police have arrested another accused in the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) recruitment scam and produced him before the JMFC court in Gokak.
With this the number of arrested accused reached 23.
Bhimappa Siddappa Gudigoppa, 30, of Upparatti village in Gokak taluk is the accused. According to police sources, Bhimappa is the one who supplied money to purchase smart electronic devices including smart watches and Bluetooth devices from a Delhi-based vendor and provided them to candidates writing examinations.
Police have seized six mobile phones, one laptop computer, three electronic devices and a car.
Police had arrested two accused in connection with the case on Tuesday.
A Gokak court on Tuesday granted bail to 20 accused arrested earlier.
