HYDERABAD: Finance minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday urged Munugode voters to decide whether they wanted a local party (TRS) which will stand by them or a Delhi party (BJP) whose leaders will disappear back to the national capital after the results.
"If BJP wins, only Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy benefits. But if TRS emerges victorious, the entire constituency will be further developed," Harish Rao said while addressing a public meeting in Marriguda mandal in the constituency.
He assured that he would visit Munugode every three months after the elections and ensure development of the constituency.
The finance minister said that BJP's Rajgopal Reddy intends to cheat voters again as he had done little to develop the constituency while he was the MLA.
After admitting about 200 workers from BJP and Congress into TRS on Wednesday, Rao said that it was the TRS government which had developed the constituency apart from implementing many welfare schemes for farmers, weavers, women and elderly.
"People should remember the fluoride problem in the constituency and how the TRS government resolved it. Now the time has come for voters to express their gratitude in this election," Harish Rao said.
