Agro Phos(down 2.09%), & Fertilizers(down 2.02%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.04%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.76%), & Fertilizers(down 0.61%), G S F C(down 0.15%), Sikko Industries(down 0.11%) and Madras Fertlizers(down 0.10%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 51.7 points up at 17563.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 95.71 points at 59202.9.
UPL Ltd(up 5.42%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.44%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.2%), HCL Technologies(up 2.18%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.86%), NTPC(up 1.77%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.69%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.68%), Nestle India(up 1.63%) and Bajaj Finserv(up 1.58%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 4.8%), Asian Paints(down 2.24%), Enterprises(down 1.51%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.5%), HDFC Bank(down 0.68%), HDFC(down 0.53%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.49%), Axis Bank(down 0.48%), ICICI Bank(down 0.39%) and SBI Life(down 0.34%) closed in the red.
