Panaji: A cyclonic circulation persisting over the north Andaman sea and the neighbourhood region since October 18 is likely to form a low pressure area over the southeast and eastcentral Bay of Bengal, bringing rainfall to adjoining states. However, as per present observations of the India meteorological department (IMD), it is not likely to result in any adverse weather over Goa.
The cyclonic circulation was extending up to 3.1km above mean sea-level on October 19. Under its influence, IMD said, a low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast and eastcentral Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. It is likely to concentrate into a depression by October 22 and intensify further into a cyclonic storm during subsequent 48 hours, IMD said.
