Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 3.70%), & Chemicals(down 1.92%), Agro Phos(down 1.29%), G S F C(down 1.26%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.79%), Sikko Industries(down 0.71%), KRISHANA(down 0.31%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.28%), & Fertilizers(down 0.19%) and Rama Phosphates(down 0.15%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 25.3 points up at 17512.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 146.59 points at 59107.19.
HDFC(up 2.15%), Nestle India(up 1.81%), ITC(up 1.78%), Reliance Industries(up 1.74%), Axis Bank(up 1.65%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.23%), HDFC Bank(up 1.03%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.0%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.81%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.73%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, NTPC(down 1.74%), JSW Steel(down 1.7%), State Bank of India(down 1.61%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.59%), Coal India(down 1.45%), HCL Technologies(down 1.34%), Tata Motors(down 1.29%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.27%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.22%) and Infosys(down 1.21%) closed in the red.
